Simo Rousu <\/strong>annually produces approximately 1,000 m\u00b3 of firewood and at best 11 full trailer loads with a Hakki Pilke Pro 38 firewood processor. This year Rousu sold out as early as August. It\u2019s easier to understand how exceptional the situation is when Rousu mentions that, for example, last year he had enough to sell until December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Magnus \u00c5dahl<\/strong> He has a company called koivuklapia.fi that he runs with a Hakki Pilke Easy 43 firewood processor. \u00c5dahl has noticed that fresh wood has also sold exceptionally well since last spring. Additionally, customers are currently willing to pick up their firewood from great distances, as long as they can get it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some larger vendors still have enough firewood to sell. For example, Metsolan piha and puu, which produces firewood with the Hakki Pilke 50 Pro, still has some firewood left in stock. However, they are also receiving a huge amount of orders, so the situation may change quickly. The situation is the same all over the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The availability of raw materials and the rise in prices are causing concern among many firewood vendors and threaten to further extend the already long delivery times. \u201dRising energy prices also affect the retail price of artificially dried firewood, because artificial drying methods typically require electricity,\u201d says Veijo Kontro. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a long time, the best way to secure firewood for the winter has been to order it well in advance in the spring. This year, firewood vendors have noticed that demand has been spread out over a longer period than usual, and orders began coming in earlier than usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ordering firewood as early as spring will continue to be the best way to secure your own supply for the coming fall and winter. This way, you\u2019ll likely also get firewood at a slightly lower price\u2014especially when demand is rising, as it is now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
