The June Hakki Pilke user of the month is Simo Rousu from Ylitornio. Simo produces approximately 1000 cubic meters of firewood annually and delivers the split logs in bags or by trailer to customers. He has trusted Hakki Pilke's machines for over 15 years and, in addition to the modern 38 Pro, also owns the classic 2X firewood processor.

Simo Rousu acquired his first firewood processor in 2003 based on recommendations: ”The Hakki Pilke 2X is the best firewood processor on the market.” In retrospect, the recommenders were not wrong at all, as the Hakki Pilke 2X revolutionized firewood production in the 1990s and was one of the best-selling firewood processors in the world. Simo's tractor-powered 2X still works, but the entrepreneur wanted new technology alongside the old machine.

”I decided to get the Pro series Hakki Pilke 38 Pro firewood processor because I've been very satisfied with Hakki Pilke's spare parts service and support over the years,” says Simo. The machine's safety and performance also influenced Simo's choice. The machine's power transmission does not use any V-belts, which keeps the machine as reliable and high-performing year after year.

For timber of maximum size, it has an eight-part splitting blade on the machine. The machine also has an optional oil cooler, oil heater, and chip blower, all of which are necessary when processing timber professionally.

38 Pro The machine has a HakkiCutTM sawing interface where cutting happens at the press of a button. ”The joystick is easy to use and works well even in frost. This is important, as I do most of my firewood in the winter,” says Simo. Simo's 38 Pro is a combi model, meaning it can be used with both a tractor and electricity. He prefers electricity because it's cheaper and quieter, as the tractor isn't roaring next to him.

Simo Rousu has been running a professional firewood business for years in the Ylitornio area, in a prominent location by the highway. Congratulations to Simo on your win and good luck for the upcoming sales season!
