The Hakki Pilke 55 Pro brings firewood production into the modern age with its innovative and automated features. With the new HakkiMultiBlade™ blade, you can easily split logs into up to 24 pieces and then easily switch to 8 pieces in just seconds. The automatic hydraulic height adjustment of the splitting blade allows for consistent quality firewood even when log diameters vary. The system features an innovative sensor that measures the diameter of each log and then adjusts the height of the splitting blade for optimal results.
“The innovative HakkiMultiBlade™ is an idea that stems from customer needs: changing the cutting blade in a large clapper machine is slow and cumbersome. We wanted to make it easier for our customers. Now changing the cutting blade from 24 parts to 8 parts is quick and takes only a few seconds. Thanks to the new blade design, changing the cutting blade from a standard 8-part blade to a 16-part blade is also quick. The HakkiMultiBlade™ and automatic height adjustment system come as standard in every 55 Pro clapper machine.” says Product Development Manager Timo Jussila.
Real-time information about production levels and machine control are easily accessible
55 Pro has a modern data monitoring system with an easy-to-use display. The monitoring system collects important data about the machine’s productivity and processes. You get real-time information about the volume measurements processed, operating hours, diameter methods, and machine protections. The display shows statistics about the wood produced, such as daily production or the number of hours per production.
”Our customers have been asking to receive information about the level of production and how much firewood is produced. The display and information monitoring system will become standard equipment. Many of the machine’s different functions, such as impact drilling of the cross-section or measuring the diameter of the logs, can also be controlled using the display.” says Hakki Pilkkeen Export Manager Jari Niskakoski.
The user can easily change the desired size of the firewood from the screen. The measuring device automatically shifts to the correct position based on the selected length. The disc can be driven forward or backward manually using the buttons on the screen. The user can also control the half-stroke function from the display and switch the automatic blade height adjustment to manual.
As an optional accessory, the Hakki Pilke XL Removal Loader is available. You can complement your firewood mill and maximize your production by adding either a 6-meter or 8-meter XL Removal Loader to your own removal system. The 60 cm wide strap of the loader easily transports large amounts of firewood and has a cleaning system that separates the debris from the firewood. The XL Removal Loader is also easy to remove from the machine and can be transported for short trips on its own tires.
Fast and uninterrupted processing with half-stroke operation and landing plates
Thanks to the instant HakkiSplit™ cutting system, the productivity of the 55 Pro is unbeatable, as its half-cut function makes short firewood cuts quickly. You can choose the diameter of the cut to return either after a full, half or third cut. The landing discs ensure that even the shortest logs land neatly into the cutting groove. The 55 Pro has an automatic lubrication system that lubricates at regular intervals. This saves time for maintenance. The machine also has five active protections that ensure the safety of the users and facilitate maintenance and handling. The protections are lightweight, easy to use and stop any movement inside the machine when they are opened.
The Pro 55 also features many other industry-leading Pro Series features, such as the patented automatic AC 10 chain tensioner and electronic automatic chain lubrication. The AC 10 system keeps the steel chain in optimal tension at all times and improves cutting speed, significantly increasing the life of the steel chain and blade. Standard features also include the HakkiCut™ saw edge guide, an automatically optimized saw feed speed, and a hydraulic wood saw.

Dopei’s Brennholzverkauf, a southern German firewood producer, was one of the 55 testers of 55 Pron. The 55 Pron automatic block measuring device is able to handle heavy and sturdy logs. A stronger feed conveyor with two pulling belts easily transports heavy logs to the saw. The 24-part blade cuts through various types of hardwoods such as oak and beech effortlessly. The automatic height adjustment makes handling smooth when the log size varies, which was a much-needed feature in industrial production.” says Dopei’s Brennholzverkaufs owner Mr. Dominik Peisl.
